Note: The site was acquired by the Swindon Corporation in 1943 - right in the middle of World War Two.
Location: Roughly 3nm W of Swindon town centre
NOTES: Apparently a much used departure point for commercial balloon flights at least during the 2000s only?
In more recent years, according to their web-site, often used by Virgin Balloons.
