Note:  These three pictures were obtained from Google Earth ©

Location: Just N of Stevenston, about 1.5nm E of Ardrossan town centre

Period of operation: Late 1990s perhaps (?) to -

Runways: This appears to be, looking at the picture on Google Earth (Picture 2016), a most unusual arrangement - if the site is correctly identified - which I believe it is.

There are two runways pretty much running in parallel with a taxiway connecting them. In about 2016, the northern runway is:    11/29   320   grass

The southern runway is:    11/29   260   grass

NOTES: This seems to indicate that the site is probably used mainly by microlight types? It is reported that a Rans S.6 was based here in or around 2000.

The Aerotechnik EV97A Eurostar, G-CCLE, was based here from July 2003 until August 2007.

As always in this 'Guide', if anybody can kindly offer advice, this will be most welcome.
