Location: Just SW of Steventon and just S of the Didcot to Swindon railway, about 4nm WNW of Didcot town centre

Period of operation: 2016 (?) to -

Runway:  2017 to 2018:       09/27   1030   grass

                            2020:       09/27   1430   grass

NOTES: It was Terry Clark who pointed out this rather exceptional private airstrip, and he tells me that a replica P-51 Mustang or Spitfire could be based here? (Written in August 2018). Any additional advice will be most welcome.

In the 2017 picture a quite substantial mast can be seen at the eastern end of the runway - hardly idea of course - but by 2018 this was being dismantled, which is just visible in that picture.

Certainly unusual for a private airstrip, it does make one wonder what type of aircraft 1400 metres is needed for?
