Location: Approx 5nm NE of Dumfries

Period of operation: 7th September 1932

 

NOTES: Also the venue for Alan Cobham’s 1929 Municipal Aerodrome Campaign Tour? Almost certainly the site of TINWALD DOWN FARM in WW1 and DUMFRIES WW2 aerodrome? Can anybody kindly confirm this?
