Here once again we have Mike Holder, a great long-term friend of this 'Guide', to thank for discovering this little known venue and providing the following items to illustrate the listing. As Mike points out, he does not know for certain the exact location of the venue, but by a process of deduction from the evidence below, he has selected the most likely place. As always, if anybody can kindly offer advice and information, this will be much appreciated.
The Notice was published in Flight magazine on the 11th September 1909! Which shows that COWBIT WASH had already been identified as a highly suitable flying area.
The advert was placed in the Spalding Guardian on the 29th October 1921. The article was published in the Lincolnshire Free Press on the 1st November 1921.
