ASH HOUSE FARM: Private airstrip
Note: All four of these pictures were obtained from Google Earth ©
Location: Just NE of and abutting ASHCROFT (BRYAN'S LANDINGS), about 2nm SW of Winsford town centre
Period of operation: Mid to late 1970s to -
Runway: Mainly 01/19 550 grass (The runway veers NNE at the northern end)
2005: Was fairly briefly reduced to 470 metres. (See second picture above)
NOTES: If anybody can kindly offer advice, this will be most welcome.
In February 2026 I was kindly contacted by Mr Pete Turton who has had a long association with this airstrip. It was started by his uncle, Harold 'Snowy' Nuttall who persuaded the tennant farmer Dick Walley to establish it in the mid to late 1970s.
