Ballencrieff
Note: This map only shows the position of Ballencrieff village within the UK. If anybody can kindly provide a more exact location for the airstrip, this advice will be most welcome.
BALLENCRIEFF: Private airstrip
Location: In/near Ballencrieff village which is just SE of the A6137/B1377 crossroads about 3nm NW of Haddington S of the A1
NOTES: In 1976/7 it is reported that the Luton L.A.4a Minor G-AXGR was based here.

This comment was written on: 2020-08-23 18:18:55An aircraft flew from there in the 1970's on a piece of land operted as a pig farm near Ballincrief House or Castle. I dont know the details but someone died in a crash (perhaps a son of the farmer) and any flying ceased
