Ballywater

Note: This map only shows a rough position within the UK of the WW2 SLG.

BALLYWALTER: Military aerodrome in WW1 (?).  In WW2 a Satellite Landing Ground
Note: But not in exactly the same location it appears?

Military user: WW1: RAF     25 Group

WW2: 16 SLG (RAF)

Location: On the coast near and N of Ballywalter, about 19nm ESE of Belfast

Period of operation: Late 1918?       WW2 - ?

NOTES: Apparently under construction in late 1918 did this aerodrome see active service? Apparently adopted as a SLG in WW2.
