Location: Adjacent and parallel to Hillam Lane, 1.5nm WNW of Cockerham and 5.5nm SSW of Lancaster city centre

Period of operation:   ?

Runway:   09/27   785   grass

NOTES:  I have my doubts about this. But, although hardly scientific, I am working on the basis that, for example; if it smells like a dog, barks like a dog and bites like a dog, there is a good enough chance it is a dog. Having found some evidence that this is an airstrip, perhaps the term was is better?

It certainly has all the classic hallmarks of an airstrip, but closer inspection on Google Earth appears to show it is now quite rough. And has been for many years.

As always in this 'Guide', if anybody can kindly offer advice, this will be much appreciated.
