Note:  The first picture was obtained from Google Earth ©. The area view is from my Google Earth © derived database.

Location:  Just S of Chilmington Green village, about 2nm SW of Ashford town centre

Period of operation:   Unknown?

Runway:   Unknown?  Probably orientated 02/20?  Up to 600m in length?

NOTES:  We have Mr Graham Frost, a great friend of this 'Guide', to thank for pointing out this location. He has found a photo of the Percival P.40 Prentice T1, G-AOLK (ex VS618), parked here dated 12.09.92. Presumably visiting?

It appears the PFA Mid Kent Strut held their annual Fly-In event here from the late 1980s until the early 1990s. It seems that it proved so popular with local people that it raised liabilitiy issues. They therefore moved the event to ROCHESTER.

If anybody can kindly offer advice and information, this will be much appreciated.
