Location: In/near Hordle which is about halfway between the A337 and B3055 and roughly 2nm E of New Milton

Period of operation: Circa 2005 to -

Runway:  2005:   07/25   460   grass                2014:   07/25   490   grass

NOTES:  I have to thank Dan who posted the 'Comment' below to take another look at this listing - which was pretty basic originally to say the least. Now it has pictures, runway details and a few other adjustments.

It is of course a continual problem in trying to prepare a 'Guide' that information comes from a wide variety of sources, (often with different names for the same site), and all I can do is try to make some sense out of it. I certainly cannot go around by car and 'plane to visit all the sites, and usually have to rely on very kind people, such as Dan, to point me in the right direction.

Another point, well illustrated in the pictures above, is that many if not most airstrips can be either a devil to find or stand out a mile, depending on the time of year, weather conditions, surrounding crops, etc.

Re: Batchley Farm/King's Farm. Contrary to your report, according to the latest images from Google Earth and since at least 2005, there does appear to be a mown airstrip and what looks like two hangars at this site (50°45'19.29"N, 1°35'31.95"W).
