Location: Obviously fairly near the BEACON HILL site listed below but almost certainly not the same?
According to a contemporary map of the site, on the edge of Longhorsley Moor and two miles S of Longhorsley - or, perhaps, LONGHORSLEY Landing Ground? Period of operation: 1916 to 1917
Notes: Transferred to LONGHORSLEY after July 1917
BEACON HILL: Private airstrip
Note: This could well by SELBY HOUSE FARM - see seperate listing
Location: Nr Selby House, 8nm NW of Morpeth
Period of operation: 1993 to present day?
Runway: 09/27 400m grass (4% gradient, land on 09 & take-off on 27)
