Beaumont
Note: This map only shows the position of Beaumont village, (now known it seems as Beaumont-cum-Moze), within the UK. If anybody now knows a more exact location for this airfield, this advice will be much appreciated.
BEAUMONT: Military Landing Ground
Military user: RFC (Royal Flying Corps)
37 [Home Defence] Sqdn (Probably the Royal Aircraft Factory B.E.12 type?)
Location: W of the B1414, roughly 5nm N of Clacton-on-Sea town centre
Period of operation: 1916
NOTES: It seems this Landing Ground was only in operation from April to August in 1916 before ‘duties’ were transferred to PLOUGH CORNER.
