Biggleswade WW1

Note: This map only shows the position of Biggleswade town within the UK. If anybody now knows trhe position of this briefly used airfield, this advice will be most welcome.

BIGGLESWADE: Military Landing Ground

Military user: RFC

75 [Home Defence] Sqdn   (Royal Aircraft Factory B.E.2c & B.E.12e)
Note: It could be that the Squadron also briefly flew their Royal Aircraft Factory F.E.2b type here, these replacing the B.E.2c around the time the Squadron moved to ELSHAM WOLDS.

Location: ?

Period of operation: July to September 1917

NOTES: Presumably fixed facilities were minimal if not non-existant?

OLD WARDEN/SHUTTLEWORTH aerodrome is also sometimes known as BIGGLESWADE but I am fairly confident that this listing is a seperate site.
