BIRKENHEAD: Temporary aerodrome?

NOTES: Sir Alan Cobham’s 1933 No.1 Tour used a venue in/near Birkenhead on the 17^th and 18^th June. Does any record still exist of exactly where they held this display?

Cobham’s No.2 Tour displayed at Birkenhead on the 12^th and 13^th August that year, presumably using the same site?

Cobham’s 1934 Tour also visited Birkenhead on the 20^th July and it is interesting to note that the previous day appears to have been a rest day for the Cobham crews, (they displayed at Pwllheli, their 90^th venue, on the 18^th), the first rest day since the Tour started at CENTRAL PARK Dagenham on the 14^th April!

On the 26^th May 1935 the Cobham crew visited Birkenhead again, presumably using the same site?
