Bishopton flying sites
Note: This map shows the position of the present day airstrip which is roughly half a mile or so NE of Bishopton. The WW1 Landing Ground on the other hand was situated just to the SW of Bishopton.

NOTES: Mr Graham Frost, a great friend of this 'Guide', tells us that Mr Greenwell had three aircraft based here:
Auster J5B Autocar, G-AMFP, 1967 to 1968. Then the Tipsy Trainer 1, G-AFSC, from 1969 to 1973, and finally the Jodel D117, G-AWFW (ex PH-VRE) from 1974 to 2000.
