BLENHEIM PALACE: Temporary helicopter landing area

Location: W of the A44, near Woodstock village, roughly 7nm NW of Oxford city centre

Period of operation:  12.07.18 only?

NOTES:  On the afternoon of the 12th July 2018, the Boeing 747 'Air Force One' carrying the U.S. President Donald Trump arrived at STANSTED (ESSEX). He then flew by the Presidential helicopter 'Marine One' (a Sikorsky VH-3D or VH-60N?) to the U.S. Ambassadors residence in REGENTS PARK (LONDON) before flying on to a sumptuous gala reception and dinner at BLENHEIM PALACE.

Two other helicopters appeared to accompany the Presidential helicopter, one being a Bell Osprey. The Presidential helicopters are operated by Marine Helicopter Squadron One (HMX-1) and they operate a fleet of thirty five helicopters.
