NOTES: Am I correct in thinking BODVEL is now BODFEL? I would much appreciate confirmation.
In trying to produce a 'Guide' for UK flying sites it really can be a devil of a job trying to locate some early sites, as the spelling has changed. Not just in Wales either, it happens throughout the UK. But since the wholesale change to Welsh spelling in Wales, and nearly all the names of Counties being changed, plus the creation of so many new so-called Counties, Wales - quite frankly - is as often as not, an utter nightmare to research.
I suppose the mostly well meaning people behind this trend did not have the foresight to envisage this consequence. Which is such a shame really as Wales really does have a fascinating history. And aviation is only a tiny part of it.
