BODFARI: Early aircraft proving airfield or test site

Location: N and W of the A541, roughly 3nm NE of Denbigh

Period of operation:  1911 only?

 

NOTES: It seems that Mr Hewitt conducted glider trials from this site before embarking on flight trials with a Blériot monoplane here. Possibly a XI type?
