Bolney
Note: This map only gives the position of Bolney village within the UK. If anybody can kindly provide a more exact location for this airstrip, this advice will be most welcome.
BOLNEY: Private airstrip and helipad
Operated by: Messrs Garden & Hose
Location: The village of Bolney is just NW of the A23/A272 junction about 8nm S of Crawley
Period of operation: 1970s only?
NOTES: In the mid 1970s it appears the Piper PA-24 Comanche 260 G-AYED, the Bell 206B Jet-Ranger G-BARP and the Piper PA-32 Cherokee Six 300, all belonging to Patgrove Ltd were based here.
Apparently the hangar was still there in 2005 and thirty years ago this airstrip was a venue for a couple of years at least for PFA Southern Strut Fly-Ins.
