A MICHAEL T HOLDER GALLERY

Here once again, we have Mike Holder, a great long-term friend of this 'Guide', to thank for both discovering this little known location, and providing the following to illustrate the listing.

NOTES:  According to modern maps this location is now in Powys, but this is not a true County, but rather an administrative area. The true County is Radnorshire.

What I found rather interesting, having made a delve into the interweb, is that the two places for accommodation listed in the A.A. information sheet - the Bridge End Inn in Llyswen and the Three Cocks Hotel in Glasbury, were still in business. In 2026 at least. Also, there is still a Wye Garage in Llyswen, presumably on the same site (?), but these days a filling station with an Asda Express.

Although I suspect no records now exist (?), it would now be of some interest to learn how often this location was used in the 1930s by visiting aircraft.
