Location: Just W of the A1(M), just south of Bowcliffe Hall, S of Bramham village and 3.5nm WSW of Tadcaster town centre. About 4nm SSE of Wetherby town centre
Period of operation: 2017 perhaps? To -
Runway: Roughly 14/32 355 grass

I could well be wrong of course, but the aircraft seen in the pictures above looks to me like a Yak 50? If I am correct, a design destined from the start to be flown from very rough airfields in the USSR.
And indeed, I once recovered one from the Jurca mountains in France, having landed there on a heavily ploughed field with no damage at all. The pilot, with more money than sense, had no documentation, (he was intending to fly to Switzerland), so the French authorities told him that the only way his aeroplane could be repatriated was by road. Very good news for me of course and a very interesting job.

In 2023 Graham noticed that the Stinson SR-9D Reliant, G-AFBI, was registered to Mr Robert Blackburn at this address from 26.10.37 until 01.12.39 when it was impressed as W5791. Although based at BROUGH I would think it highly likely that it made visits here?
