These two pictures provide a very graphic illustration of how the conspicuity of farm strips can vary enormously depending on the time of year and the crops being grown. Sometimes they can be seen from miles away, and sometimes you have to circle around to find them.
Note: See also seperate entry for LEIGHTERTON for probable previous history. It now appears that LEIGHTERTON was indeed a seperate site.
Location: E of A46, just SE of Lasborough, roughly 3nm WSW of Tetbury
Period of operation: 1970s to -
Runways: (2014) 09/27 790 grass 15/23 575 grass
NOTES: A bit of a guess here - in a 1977 listing the Cessna F.172M G-BCUI registered to Hillhouse Estates Ltd was based at TETBURY it seems - but was there more than one strip operating in this area?
