Location: W of the M5 motorway today, about 5.5nm SSE of Tiverton, 8.5nm NNE of Exeter
Period of operation: 1944/5 only?
NOTES: It appears that two Piper L-4 Grasshoppers were based here.
THE SALMET CONNECTION
Also, it appears, BRADNINCH was a navigation ‘staging post’ for Henri Salmet in 1912 as he made his way from Liskeard via Plymouth, Torquay and Exeter to Taunton. What was it about Bradninch that made it so easy to identify?
