Bretton
Note: This map shows only my guess as to the location, and, is a bit of a chance frankly. It shows New Manor Farm House, but, is this on the site of the 1930s Manor Hall Farm. The location is roughly where I would expect to find it, but, could anybody either kindly confirm this, or, if incorrect - provide a more exact position?
BRETTON: Military RLG (Relief Landing Ground)
Military users: 1930s: RLG for RAF SEALAND
5 SFTS (Avro Tutors. It is said that later Hawker Audaxes, Hinds and Harts also used this site)
Runways: Site described as being roughly oblong giving a maximum landing path of 1371 metres
NOTES: It appears this was a 96 acre field belonging to Manor Hall Farm. However, could this actually be BRETTON HALL FARM? There is a layout to this site, still visible on modern maps, which has all the hallmarks of a pre-WW2 airfield.
