These two pictures are from my Google Earth © derived database.

Operated by:  British Car Auctions (Aviation) Ltd

Location:  Just S of junction 4 on the M3 and just W of Frimley town centre

Period of operation: Not known exactly, early 1980s certainly

NOTES:  We have Mr Graham Frost, a great friend of this 'Guide', for pointing out this location. British Car Auctions used this site before making the move to a much larger site on the western end of BLACKBUSHE. So far I have been unable to pinpoint the location exactly, but it doesn't much matter. The object of this 'Guide' is to record the existence of flying sites within the UK.

G-TBCA
G-TBCA

This picture of G-TBCA was taken at SANDOWN PARK by Graham Frost with his very basic point-and-shoot camera.

What is more important in many ways, is gaining background information to support the evidence. In this respect Graham tells us that G-TBCA was based here, or at least used the helipad frequently. This was the Bell 206L Longranger first registered in the USA as N64689 and when imported then got G-BFAL as its first registration.

When British Car Auctions acquired it, they had it re-registered as G-TBCA in September 1980 and operated it from 09.04.80 until 08.03.84. It was then re-registered as G-OLDN.
