Location: S of the A487, just ENE of Aberystwyth town centre
NOTES: It appears that up until 2019 this hospital was using the Penglais School Playing Fields, situated E of the hospital, for Air Ambulance operations.
Perhaps they don't get many emergencies in this region? In any case, they don't seem to rate very highly in the list of priorities. No doubt all involved act with greatest speed, but the delay in 'The Golden Hour' for saving many patients, transferring them to an ambulance to take them to the hospital, must encroach on possible survival rates?
The Google Earth picture shows both sites. And, looking at it one does have to wonder, in light wind conditions, why the large grass area just to the north of the hospital, and the large playing fields next door to the east cannot be used?
