Burnfoot

BURNFOOT: Military aerodrome

Military user: RAF      51 Group

15 EFTS  [Elementary Flying Training School]     (Miles Magisters)

Location: 7nm NNW of Carlisle

Period of operation: 1940 to 1945

Runways:   NW/SE   1051   grass          E/W   1005   grass

NOTES: One account states that 15 EFTS only used BURNFOOT in 1941. This now seems incorrect of course.
