BUSHWOOD: Temporary airstrip?

NOTES: This site is apparently about four miles SSW of Knowle and the only claim to aviation fame is tenuous to say the least. However, there is a report that the Henri Mignet designed Pou du Ciel (Flying Flea) G-AECN, did fly here on the 9th February 1936. (Possibly the once and only time it ever flew?). Can this be confirmed?

In 2023 Mr Graham Frost, a great friend of this 'Guide', found a another published report confirming this.

I often remark that when I started this project over a quarter of a century ago, (in 2025), thank heavens I had the good sense to call it just a 'Guide'. Am still  constantly amazed, with much help of course, how often extra information surfaces, even many years later. So, who knows (?), perhaps the exact location of the BUSHWOOD flying site just might be revealed.
