Location: N of the B6199, just N of the M61. About 2nm SSW to SW of Bolton town centre
Period of operation: Unknown? Possibly from 2010 to 2015?
Runway: 09/27 325 grass
NOTES: We have Mr Graham Frost, a great friend of this 'Guide', to thank for pointing out this location. In fact he wasn't too sure about it and asked me to have a look. Have to say that my first reaction was that it was highly unlikely, being so close to Bolton. But, as Graham is invariably correct, I kept looking - and lo and behold found the picture above.
There is no obvious sign of a hangar, so presumably laid out just for visiting. But, by what? At over 300 metres a wide variety of types could use this strip. If anybody can kindly offer advice and information, this will be much appreciated.
