Bye Cross Farm
BYE CROSS FARM: Private airfield, later airstrip
Note: The first two pictures were obtained from Google Earth ©. The area view from my Google Earth © derived database.
Location: Just E of Moccas, S of the A438, about 8 nm WNW of Hereford city centre
Period of operation: Early 2000s to -
Runways: 2009: 09/27 290 grass 18/36 230 grass
2022: 09/27 290 grass
NOTES: It appears the Pulsar G-BUYB was based here for several years. Registered to Mr Anthony P Fenn from May 1993 to June 2012, he clearly had it based elsewhere in the years before BYE CROSS FARM became available. A Google Earth © picture from 2001 shows no sign of this then originally airfield existing.
Mr Graham Frost, a great friend of this 'Guide', kindly sent this detail from Google Earth ©. It shows the Aeroprakt A-22-L Foxbat, G-CFYD, which has been based here since February 2009. Indeed, it was probably built here by Mr Fenn, the operator of this location.
As always in this 'Guide', if anybody can kindly offer advice and information, this will be much appreciated.
