CAMBORNE: Temporary Landing Site

NOTES: It appears that Claude Graham-White gave up attempting to fly his Farman biplane from Penzance to Torquay and encountering strong winds landed in/near Camborne on the 25th  July 1910. This was during his attempt to fly over the the Royal Navy Fleet Review planned originally to take place in Mount’s Bay near Penzance and quickly transferred to Torbay due to gales. He then arranged, it appears, for his aeroplane to be transported by rail to Newton Abbott.
