Note: First picture. Just to the left of G-BTUR is the initial 'taxiway'.

Location: Roughly 0.75nm NW to NNW of Debden Green, and just over 1nm E of Debden

Period of operation: 2006 to 2008
(Note: It appears on Google Earth in 2006 but has gone by 2009)

Runway: (2006)    07/25   410x19   grass

NOTES: I am indebted to Martin Pole for this, who also kindly sent the pictures. The Piper PA-18 Super Cub G-BTUR, (normally based at ANDREWSFIELD), was often based here during summer months for a fairly short period - it being near the owners home. Martin flew it from here in 2007, including a visit to a Fly-In at NORTH WEALD.

Martin explains that the runway was some distance from where the Super Cub was parked, and, being a tail-dragger the taxy to the runway along rough narrow 'paths' was very slow and very demanding - making his legs ache.
