A MICHAEL T HOLDER GALLERY
We have Mike Holder, a great long-term friend of this 'Guide', to thank for both finding this location and providing most of the following items to illustrate the listing.
The local area and area views are from my Google Earth© derived database.
NOTES: I expect it is not much known about today that the Automobile Association once had a keen interest in aviation, and established a network of Landing Grounds, approved by and inspected by them. They even provided boxes in which pilots could post messages which their patrol-men would visit regularly. And, if required, telephone information ahead. Like for example, telling people at the pilots destination of the expected arrival time.
We'd love to hear from you, so please scroll down to leave a comment!
