The map is from Pooleys Flight Guide. Both of the pictures were obtained from my Google Earth © derived database.

Location:  Just N of Kirby Misperton village, about 2.5nm SSW of Pickering town centre

Period of operation:  Late 1960s until mid 1980s?

Runway:  09/27   670 x 45   grass

NOTES:  We have Mr Graham Frost, a great friend of this 'Guide', to thank for pointing out this location. He tells us that a Cessna, (presumably a 172?), was employed giving pleasure flights. Also noted visiting was the Piper PA-22-150 Caribbean G-ARFB (ex N3625Z), and the Mooney M.20A G-ARWY (ex N1079B).

If anybody can kindly offer advice and information this will be much appreciated. Pictures are always most welcome.
