Glazebury

Note: This map only gives a very rough position within the UK. If anybody can kindly offer advice, this will be much appreciated,

GLAZEBURY: Private helipad      (also known as LEIGH)

Location: In/near Glazebury on the A574 about 2 to 2.5nm SE of Leigh and roughly 7nm NE to NNE of Warrington town centre

NOTES: Today private helipads are ten a penny of course but in the mid 1970s they were still fairly rare. This site with three helicopters based here was very much the exception to a small rule.

These were the Brantly B.2B G-AWDU of A & B Car (Distributors) Ltd, and the Bell 206B JetRanger G-AZVN plus the SA.341G Gazelle 1, both of A Smith (Culcheth) Ltd.
