HELSTON: Civil regional airport

NOTES: During the 1930s Provincial Airways listed a service to HELSTON, but is it known where they landed? Any advice will be much appreciated.

It should be borne in mind that many 'regional airports' in the 1930s were minimal to say the least. Possibly with just a windsock and possibly a tent or hut. No hangar, no fuel - passengers were, generally speaking, taken to and from the 'airport' in a charabanc or coach from an office or meeting point in the nearest town centre.

Services were invariably mostly seasonal, (spring to autumn), and in a few cases just during the summer. Indeed, in some cases services were by request only and I suspect HELSTON could well be an example?
