HEMPLOE HOME FARM: Gliding site
The first two pictures were obtained from Google Earth©. The local area and area views are from my Google Earth© derived database.
Location: Roughly 1nm SW of Welford village, N of the A14 and about 3.25nm SSW of Husbands Bosworth town. 8nm ENE of Rugby town centre
Period of operation: Not known exactly (?) but nothing appears in 2018. Suspect being laid out around 2020?
Runway: 11/29 830 grass
NOTES: We have Mr Mark Taylor to thank for pointing out this location in October 2025. If anybody can kindly offer advice and information this will be most welcome. Not least regarding who is operating this gliding facility, and, how are the gliders being launched? Aero-tows, winch, or a combination of both?
