Location: About 3nm SW of Halesworth & 6nm NNW of Saxmundham

Runway:      Roughly E/W   530   grass

NOTES: The information (and picture) came from an article by Martin Ferid published in the June 2017 edition of Light Aviation magazine.

It appears that this annual summer event has been held here since 2012 (?) and certainly since 2013. Prior to 2012 the event had been held at nearby Henham Park since 2004.

This picture was published in the August edition of the AAIB Bulletin and shows the three runways available for the Heveningham Country Fair being held in early July 2023. These being 15/33   1100   grass,    03/21   530   grass,  and  06/24   850   grass.

The report AAIB-29360, concerns the Grumman FM2 Wildcat, G-KINL, which was sadly badly damaged when it overturned on landing after sinking into soft ground on runway 15/33. Inspections and tests of the runway failed to reveal this potential hazard.
