Operated by:   Royal Flying Corps

78 Sqdn    (Royal Aircraft Factory B.E,2 and B.E.12)

Later:  39 Sqdn  (Bristol F2b Fighter)

Location:  Just N of the A259, about 3.25nm W of Bexhill town centre

Period of operation:  October 1916 until February 1918

NOTES:  We have Mr Graham Frost, a great friend of this 'Guide', to thank for pointing out this location. It really has amazed me, since starting this project, now over a quarter of a century ago, just how many military flying sites existed in the U.K. during WW1. There are now over a thousand listed, and, even today in 2025, more are being added.
