IRCHESTER GRANGE: Temporary aerodrome

Operated by: Alan Cobham’s 1932 National Aviation Day UK Display Tour

Location: 2nm SE of Wellingborough

Period of operation: 10th October 1932

NOTES: Now it seems in the middle of a housing estate, which is so often the case for so many flying sites prior to WW2 if not later.

I've always been interested in in learning to fly a microlight and would love to do that with my 12-year old boy. I live on Gipsy Lane Irchester and I've always seen them taking off over the fields at the back but never known quite exactly where or how to go about trying to get some lessons can anyone help please? 07949401338 Thank you.
