SOMETHING OF A REVELATION PERHAPS?

Mr Graham Frost, a great friend of this 'Guide', told me that the Miles M38 Messenger 2A (G-AKIN) had been based here. So, something of a delve seemed required - and - the result astonished me. According to official records G-AKIN had been owned and operated by the Spiller family, trading as R Spiller and Sons Ltd, from 11.08.49 until 25.10.2002.

I may well be mistaken of course, but, from memory, I think this is the longest time period I have found of a private aircraft being owned and operated in the U.K.?  Advice will be much appreciated.
