Note: This map only shows the position of Llanfairfechan within the UK. If anybody can kindly provide a more exact location for this venue, this advice will be most welcome. 




LLANFAIRFECHAN: Temporary aerodrome

Location: Precise location unknown but Llanfairfechan is on the coast just N of the A55 about halfway between Bangor and Conway

Period of operation: 19th June 1936 only?




LLANFAIRFECHAN:   Private airstrip    

Note:  Probably known by another name locally?

Location:  Just N of the A55, about 6nm ENE of Bangor town centre, and about 7nm WSW of Conwy town centre 

Period of operation:  Unknown?  Looking disused by 2006?


Runway:  05/23   800   grass  


NOTES:  Next to nothing known about this location. Appears a Mooney has landed here, and a Robin in 2003. If anybody can kindly offer advice and information, this will be much appreciated. Pictures are of course most welcome.
