Note:  These two pictures are from my Google Earth © derived database.

Operated by:  Mr Trevor A Reed

Location: In Maypool, roughly 2.75nm WSW of Brixham town centre

Period of operation:  2014 to 2022

Take-off/Landing run:  Roughly E/W   150   grass

NOTES:  In 2025 I was kindly contacted by Mr Graham Frost, who told me that the GlaStar G-BYEK, (ex ZK-NEW), had been based here. Will happily admit that on first looking around I dismissed the location that Graham suggested, a fairly large field that seemed to be always under crops. However, knowing that Graham is almost always spot on, decided to look again in more detail on Google Earth.

I now think (?) I have found the location. Had to go back to school, as it were, to determine the performance data of the GlaStar, and, was quite surprised. What a performer! Would have loved to have got my hands on one when I was flying. Not too sure I've ever seen one. Anyway, it is claimed it can land and take-off at MAUW, (Maximum All Up Weight), in less than 120 metres. So, the 150 metres available in this small field, was quite adequate.

As always, if anybody can kindly offer advice, this will be very welcome. Any pictures are always much appreciated.
