NOTES:  I have Mr Trevor Sexton to thank for pointing out this flying site. He tells us that microlights have visited from time to time. He also says that the field immediately to the west was previously used.

This web-site tells us that other sites in ESSEX are also used. They also organise trips, some abroad, for paramotor holidays and competitions.

I think that over the years, the hang-gliding, para-gliding and the paramotor fraternity are in so many ways, experiencing the novelty and sheer joy of being airborne that the earliest pioneers sought to achieve. Which is a quite wonderful and largely unexpected (?) development. And of course so distinctly opposite to those of us who decided to spend an absolute fortune boring holes through the sky behind a fan powered by an out-dated gas-guzzling mechanical donkey.

But, I will insist based on experience, quite often providing the most sublime treasured views when venturing much further afield.
