Operated by: 1992 to 2000: Mr Richard J Stobo

Period of operation: 1980s to –

Location: Roughly 9nm NW of Oxford city centre. I did find one report saying it was 5nm NW of Oxford. Measured on Google Earth it is 10nm NW of Oxford city centre.

Runway: 1992 to 2001: 12/30   400x12   grass

NOTES: I often wonder where various headings and distances have been taken from in various books and Pilot Flight Guides and this is a good example I suppose. In compiling this 'Guide' I have  always measured distances and rough headings from a town or city centre because these  don’t seem to move about much in my experience, whereas the limits of the suburbs  do - often quite considerably given the over two hundred year time frame this project is  concerned with.

I believe that this airstrip was featured in the film '31 North 62 East', with a flight sequence featuring a Jabiru G-CECE.
