OLD APPLECROFT FARM:   Private airstrip

The aerial view is from Google Earth© and the local area view is from my Google Earth© derived database

Location;  Just NE of Great Henny village, about 1.75nm S of Sudbury town centre

Period of operation:  September 1986 only?

NOTES:  We have Mr Graham Frost, a great friend of this 'Guide', to thank for pointing out this location. The Morane-Saulnier MS.894A Rallye Minerva 220, G-STOL, (ex F-BSXR), was registered to this address on the 23rd September 1986 and crashed here, (written off), five days later on the 28th.

We do not know where the airstrip, (assuming it was just one strip?), was laid out on the farm, or if it was intended to be used only by G-STOL? As always, if anybody can kindly offer advice and information this will be much appreciated.
