OSEA ISLAND: Temporary water based Landing Ground

Location: About 4nm E of Maldon town centre. I assume that the beaching 'facility' was on the south side of the island, pretty much in the centre?
NOTES: We have Mr Graham Frost, a long term friend of this 'Guide'. for finding two examples of OSEA ISLAND being used for aviation purposes, spaced over one hundred years apart!
THE FIRST ACCOUNT
It appears that in 1913 the Deperdussin Aeroplane Company tested a new seaplane design here. It was piloted by John Cyril Porte and the ten minute flight was deemed to be successful. Porte later became a significant figure in the development of flying boats in the RNAS (Royal Naval Air Service) during WW1.
THE SECOND ACCOUNT
It was announced on BBC News in 2016, that a seaplane service to OSEA ISLAND would commence during the summer, operated by Loch Lomond Seaplanes. Two flights a day were planned bringing passengers from London, Buckinghamshire and Hampshire. But, did any flights, including a proving flight, ever take place? Any advice will be much appreciated.
