NOTES: We have Mr Graham Frost, a great friend of this 'Guide', to thank for pointing out this location. Have to say that I was a bit surprised in that I would have expected a military aerodrome in this location to be operated by the RNAS (Royal Naval Air Service). They being tasked, at the outbreak of WW1 with the aerial defence of the U.K. The RFC, (Royal Flying Corps), being sent, in western Europe at least, to Belgium and especially northern France. Initially on reconnaissance duties.
As always, if anybody can kindly offer advice and information, this will be most welcome.
We'd love to hear from you, so please scroll down to leave a comment!
