Location: N of the A537 at Marthall, 1nm NW of Chelford, 2nm SW of Alderley Edge

Period of operation: 1980s to 2001?

Runway:   07/25   520   grass

Model flying area:  Roughly 06/24  100x17   grass

NOTES:  I certainly need some advice here. The pictures from 2005 on, clearly show the well defined model flying site. The 2018 picture even having a full-size helicopter in attendance.

The 2003 picture certainly appears to show the existence of an airstrip pretty much where I would expect to find it. And, if you look closely, there is a darker area on the runway where the model flying now takes place - which I assume indicates that model flying was already taking place?

In 2022 Mr Graham Frost, a great friend of this 'Guide', tells us that the Morane Saulnier MS.880B Rallye Club, G-ARTT, was based here from 16.01.98 until 09.05.2001.
